Yoga Education is Broken. Here is How We Are Fixing It.

My name is Arun, and I started Tatvabodh because I realized halfway through my teaching career that I didn't actually understand the human body.

The Problem With Modern Teacher Training

Most yoga teacher training programs treat you like a consumer. You pay the fee, you learn a fixed sequence of poses, you get the certificate. But when you stand in front of a real class of bodies—people with knee pain, hypermobile joints, compressed spines—you freeze.

Why? Because nobody taught you how gravity loads a joint. Nobody explained the mechanical reality of alignment. They just taught you to copy shapes. The result is a dangerous gap in the industry: thousands of certified teachers who don't understand movement. I was one of them.

Why We Built Tatvabodh

Tatvabodh exists to bridge the gap between profound ancient philosophy and rigid modern biomechanics. We call it Body Intelligence Yoga.

Our training is not a retreat. It is a rigorous, immersive academy. We don't focus on how advanced your personal practice looks on a mat; we focus on what you actually understand in your mind and feel in your nervous system. By the time you leave, you will not just memorize a sequence—you will be able to look at any body and know exactly how to guide them safely.

The Himalayan Environment

There is a reason we don't do this in a city studio.

Our academies in Dharamshala and Rishikesh offer an environment that strips away the noise of your ordinary life. When you wake up to the sound of temple bells, eat pure sattvic food, and study in the shadow of the mountains where these practices were born, the teachings integrate into your cells differently. It is hard work, but it is deeply quiet work.

If you want a vacation with a little bit of stretching, there are plenty of schools for that. But if you want depth, if you want authority, and if you are serious about understanding yoga, we are here.
